Alarming Wildfires

Hi, my name is Chris Demahy. I am a student at Stratford High School who is enrolled in the Academy of Science and Engineering. The Academy of Science and Engineering (ASE) is an academics-based program at Stratford High School promoting engineering as a future career path for its members. Being in ASE, I have extensive experience with small-scale research and development projects with real-world expectations. I have always been interested in computer programming and hardware, being interested in computer technology since I was little. I wish to put my passions to good work, with my inspiration for this project coming from the recent major wildfires in California that caused devastating damage to the surrounding area and homes.  With an increased risk for large-scale wildfires in forested areas due to changing weather patterns and droughts, it is important to combat these to preserve the wildlife in these areas.
